How the iPad 2 is Made

From the out side when you touch the glass, you are touching the digitizer. The glass on the front and the digitizer is bonded to the inside of the glass. The part which displays the icons is the Lcd which is not bonded to the front screen. Both are two separate parts on the iPad 1, 2, 3 & 4 Models which makes a iPad 2 screen repair a cheaper option. On some of the later iPads release the front screen and Lcd are bonded together as one part which makes that repair very expensive
