The client authorizes Celtic Repairs to conduct an evaluation of the Device sent to determine the nature of the damage and provide an estimate of repair cost and timing. The evaluation is free and is only to establish some idea of what is the fault with your device. The client authorizes Celtic Repairs, its employees, and agents, to receive and transport this media/equipment/data to, from and between their facilities.
You get a 90 day part warranty on laptops/desktops/smart phones/iPads and other devices that Celtic Repairs has repaired. Celtic Repairs makes no warranty on data, express or implied and Celtic Repairs disclaims any data warranty of any kind. This warranty does not cover physical damage in anyway. A device presented to Celtic Repairs for a in warranty cover must be in the same physical condition as when it first left Celtic Repairs premise’s. Any marks, cracks or signs of any damage will not be covered by our warranty.
Payment is due in full upon completion of successful repair, prior to release of the repaired machine (whether shipped, dropped in, or picked up), unless by special previous arrangement. The client is financially responsible for all shipping costs to and from Celtic Repairs. We accept PayPal, VISA, MasterCard and Bank Transfers ( Only available to proven recurring clients).
The customer can pre-book a repair on line. Full payment will be required which insures a hourly repair slot. The customer can also pay on collection, however due to a high amount of daily repairs a fast one hour repair can not be guaranteed.
When a customer makes a booking on line, full payment is required before the courier will be booked to make the collection or delivery a package back to the customer. The customer is fully responsible for packing the item securely and insuring the package is of good structure as it is going to be travelling through a courier system, interchanging for delivery. If the iTem is not packed correctly or is not packed when the courier arrives to make the collection, the drive is instructed NOT to take the iTem. The collection will be re-booked for the next working day. If the package is not ready the next working day for the courier, the collection will be cancelled and the collection will have to be rebooked. A re-booking fee of €15.00 applies & will have be paid before the collection will be re-booked.
Collections are from 9am to 6pm depending on local drivers work load. All collections & deliveried are signed for by the customer or a house hold/company member.
All deliveries are signed for so the customer must be present or have a household/company representative present to sign for the delivery. The delivery will be made to the customers chosen address between 9am & 6pm depending on the drivers workload. We can provide a tracking number to you which you can contact the courier company for updates on collections & deliveries.
Unless stated when the booking is made the item will not be covered by insurance from the courier provider or from Celtic Repairs. Read more on Collection – Return & you send to us options HERE
Our no, fix no fee policy means that if Celtic Repairs does not resolve the problem or effect the repair, then no charge is made to the customer. If we do have to charge for parts that must be left in the device, you will be notified about this charge beforehand
The policy does not apply to work related to data recovery, Water Damaged items, computer virus, spyware problems or to cases in which the computer has been struck by lightning
Celtic Repairs will attempt to repair a broken Device. Both the client and Celtic Repairs agrees that the device is broken and Celtic Repairs will make every attempt to fix the broken device. In some case’s where the device is damaged beyond repair (even if it was working when dropped in for the repair) Celtic Repairs will not be held liable for replacing the broken device. The nature of some of these device’s makes them unrepairable. A labour charge for working on the unrepairable device may apply in these case’s.
Repaired device’s, A time line of 90 Days is given by Celtic Repairs to collect & pay for your repaired device or contact us in relation to the collection of the device. If later & we have had no contact from the owner or a family member, we will take owner ship of the device. We may recycle or reuse the device for parts to recover our cost involved with the device. The device will not be recoverable after the 3 month ( 90 Day ) period. We will not be held liable in anyway for a working device that has not been collected after the given time line.
Un-repairable Device’s; A device that has been deemed not repairable by Celtic Repairs and has not collected for a period of 2 months ( 8 working weeks ) will become the property of Celtic Repairs unless the customer has advised us otherwise within the period of 2 month’s. After 2 month’s has passed and we have had no contact from the owner of the device. The device will be recycled & will not be recoverable. Celtic Repairs will not be held liable in anyway for a replacing a un-repairable device at any point after 2 month’s ( 8 working Weeks )
Celtic Repairs is not associated with Apple in any way. The terms Apple, iPhone, iPad and iPod are all terms that are registered trademarks of Apple in the United States and other countries.
If a logic board or back plate is replaced on your idevice, the serial numbers will not match. This means that the new serial number will not correspond with your iTunes account. In order to complete repairs on your idevice, it is neccessary to remove any screen protectors, cases or other accessories. On some occassions removing these devices can result in them becoming unusable. The customer agrees to not hold us liable for any damage to these items. Celtic Repairs will not replace these items. It is strongly recommended that you remove these prior to shipping or dropping of your idevice. Water damaged devices to include water, humidity, sweat, soda and other liquids cannot always be repaired. Celtic Repairs technicians will do their best to fix your device. If we determine that your device is damaged beyond reasonable repair, then we will advise you so.
Any idevice that has been unlocked or jail broken may have compatibility issues with the new hardware and the idevices current software. This can cause possible instabilities at a later time. The customer agrees not to hold Celtic Repairs responsible for a loss of function due to this incompatibility problem, if it occurs. Please ensure that you notify Celtic Repairs of the specific firmware or software version that you want installed on your idevice,
if your device needs to be restored. Celtic Repairs is not responsible for any lost data to include but not limited to music, videos, pictures, contacts, calenders, notes, settings or other data stored on your device. It is highly recommended that you back up your data before shipping your idevice or dropping it off at our facility.
The client is the legal owner or authorized representative of the legal owner of the property and all data and components contained therein sent to Celtic Repairs. Any property left with Celtic Repairs unclaimed for 90 days ( for un-repaired device’s its 8 weeks, see Damage Repair/Evaluation ), will be disposed off. At which time, Celtic Repairs shall have no liability to the client or any third party.
Celtic Repairs shall not be liable for any claims regarding the physical functioning of equipment, media or the condition or existence of data on storage media supplied before, during or after service. In no event will Celtic Repairs be liable for any damage to the laptop/desktop, loss of data, loss of revenue or profits, or any special, incidental, contingent, or consequential damages, however caused, before, during or after service even if Celtic Repairs has been advised of the possibility of damages or loss to persons or property. Celtic Repairs liability of any kind with respect to the services, including any negligence on its part, shall be limited to the contract price for the services. The client and Celtic Repairs agree that the sole and exclusive remedy for unsatisfactory work or data shall be, at Celtic Repairs option. Additional attempts by Celtic Repairs to recover satisfactory data or refund of the amount paid by the client.
The parties acknowledge that the price of Celtic Repairs services would be much greater if Celtic Repairs undertook more extensive liability. The client is aware of the inherent risks of injury and property damage involved in laptop/desktop repair, including without limitation. Risks due to destruction or damage to the machine, media, or data and inability to repair the machine or recover data, including those that may result from the negligence of Celtic Repairs and assumes any and all known risks of injury and property damage that may results.
Celtic Repairs agrees not to disclose any and all information or data files supplied with, stored on, or recovered from client’s equipment except to employees or agents of Celtic Repairs subject to confidentiality agreements or as required by law.
